Afghanistan tri-series 2026, all you need to know: Full schedule, squads, venues and live-streaming details

Following a thrilling Test draw against Bangladesh, Afghanistan will now host an ODI tri-series in the UAE from October 17. Here are all the details you need to know.

The Afghanistan tri-nation series, also including Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, is set to begin on Saturday, October 17, with the final to be played on October 23. Three teams will play each other once in the group stage before the top two sides meet in the final at Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

Afghanistan are coming into the series on the back of a 4-0 series victory against Ireland in August. Rahmat Shah will continue to lead them, with Rashid Khan and Ibrahim Zadran returning after being rested from the one-off Test that Afghanistan drew in thrilling fashion, with Qais Ahmad's heroics to top it off.

Litton Das returns to the Bangladesh ODI side as captain, having taken over from Mehidy Hasan Miraz, whom the management wants to focus on all-round game. 29-year-old Aliss Al Islam received a call-up for this series while Hasan Mahmud also returns to the squad.

Zimbabwe hosted Australia in September for a three-match ODI series, and pushed them to the limits in the final game. They will continue to be led by Sikandar Raza, with Richard Ngarava on the sidelines as he continues to recover from a back injury.
