BackGlenn Phillips enjoyed a remarkable run with the bat during New Zealand’s recently completed five-match T20I series against India. Although the Black Caps ended up losing the contest 3-2, the explosive batter emerged as one of the biggest highlights of the series, earning the Player of the Series honour for his outstanding contributions.
Phillips finished with an incredible 341 runs at an average of 113.66 and a strike rate of 185.33. In the process, he established a new world record for the most runs scored by an individual batter in a bilateral T20I series, surpassing England’s Phil Salt, who previously held the record with 331 runs.
