Manhattan
Asked to bat, the Giants posted a total of 153 for five, which the Capitals chased with eight balls remaining.
Gulf Giants' skipper James Vince (24:15b, 4x4) took his team off to a flying start with the bat. Wicketkeeper Jordan Cox (70:53b, 4x4, 1x6), who batted at number three, slammed a vital half-century and batted till the last over, making sure that he took his team to a fighting total. Gerhard Erasmus (29:27b, 1x4, 1x6) supported Cox well as the duo added 69 runs together. Then Shimron Hetmyer (17 not out:15b, 2x4) finished the innings on a high. Thanks to this effort, Gulf Giants posted a total of 153 for five.
Chasing the target, Shai Hope (47:39b, 3x4, 2x6) played a decent hand for Capitals at the top. All the other top five batters got starts but failed to convert it. Capitals' skipper Sikandar Raza (26 not out:15b, 1x4, 1x6) kept his team in the hunt, but the real blitz came from the bat of Dasun Shanaka (34 not out:10b, 3x4, 3x6) in the end. The Raza-Shanaka pair added 44 runs for the sixth wicket as Dubai Capitals chased the target with five wickets in hand.

Dasun Shanaka absolutely clobbered that! The ball never took flight but travelled the distance for one of the most sweetly timed flat sixes you'll see!#DCvGG #DPWorldILT20 #AllInForCricket pic.twitter.com/NU2pi1Buzm
