BackYoung sensation Razaullah continues to shine for the Pakistan National Cricket Team. After making an impressive debut in a Test against the England National Cricket Team, the fast bowler fantastically took his first ODI wicket. A caught-and-bowled for him.
The England cricket team is currently in Pakistan for a trilateral ODI series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. In today's match, the fourth of the seven-match series, the 21-year-old Pakistan seamer dismissed Will Jacks through a caught-and-bowled process. For a fast bowler, it is never an easy task to take a clean catch on the follow-through. But Razaullah did that precisely against England, at the Gaddafi Stadium.
England has decorated their playing XI with massive batting depth for this match. The series is crucial for all three participating teams, as it is helping them to shape their squad for the upcoming 2027 ODI World Cup.
The upcoming ODI World Cup will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. Fast bowlers are likely to get extra support from the South African pitches. The way Razaullah is currently bowling and putting all his efforts into making a statement must have bolstered the Pakistan cricket team's confidence in the build-up to the tournament.
Coming back to the Pakistan vs England match at the Gaddafi Stadium, the visitors lost all of their wickets for 241 runs. The hosts took the tenth wicket inside the 47th over. To win the match, Pakistan will have to score 242 runs in 50 overs. Among the frontline pacers, skipper Shaheen Afridi and Razaullah were impressive with their bowling. Shaheen took 4 wickets, and his fellow pacer claimed a brace and was involved in a run-out.
The Pakistan cricket supporters were on their feet when the young seamer dismissed Will Jacks. Like the commentators, the rest of the Pakistan cricket team members and the crowd, Jacks himself was stunned. He took a few seconds to process what exactly happened. The right-handed batter tried to play a flick on the on side, but got an outside edge. The returning ball was travelling towards the bowler's end.
Razaullah, who was then in his follow-through, reacted late, but reacted perfectly enough to grab the ball. He stretched his left arm and grabbed the ball one-handed before falling on the ground. The bowler was on the ground, but he made sure the ball did not touch the surface. It was his first ODI wicket for the national team.

In his 8-over spell, the emerging fast bowler bagged the wickets of Will Jacks and Liam Dawson, and dismissed the England skipper Harry Brook in a run-out. In his spell, the bowler spent only 38 runs and returned with an economy rate of 4.75.
For England, Ben Duckett, one of their openers, stood tall on the ground and played a 105-run knock off 111 balls.
