BackIndia and West Indies are level at 2-2 and will settle the five-match T20I series at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, October 17.
Neither side has managed to take control for long, and the final game will therefore decide who walks away with the trophy.
West Indies drew level in the fourth T20I in Hyderabad, where they won by 24 runs after posting a daunting total of 247 for 3. Shai Hope was the central figure of that innings, as he remained unbeaten on 102 off just 50 balls and gave the visitors the base they needed.
India, led by Shreyas Iyer, were bowled out for 223 in reply and fell short despite a determined effort.
India won in Lucknow and Indore, while West Indies took the contests in Ranchi and Hyderabad. Iyer himself played a major part in India’s early success, since his unbeaten 102 off 43 balls laid the foundation for the chase in the opening match.
